The theme will be ‘Regionalisation of 'EU's Common Fisheries Policy'. Regionalisation is one of the topics that are up for discussion when the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) is to be reformed in 2012. But what does regionalisation of fisheries management mean? Who should be delegated the responsibilities for managing the fisheries? What should the institutional setups look like? Which decisions can be delegated out to the regions? And which cannot? And what would be the impacts of regionalisation on the relative stability, the subsidies, the third country negotiations, the perspectives of co-management. All these questions can only be answered properly in a discussion between the invited parties.
